The Brief
To create a stunning visual experience for guests at Sydney University’s alumni event held at Carriageworks in Sydney. This was to coincide with talks that were to be given by scientists, psychologists, economists, engineers, astrophysicists, doctors and so forth.
Solution
NW Group provided a complete design, content and production solution. This included pre-production, technical drawings, site surveys, 3D concept plans, digital content, over 100m of custom screen surface, 14 large format projectors and control solution, content replay systems and broadcast cameras.
A tailored audio solution was provided which was installed above the projection surface and pre-function area for speech, replay, orchestra, choir and entertainment. Along with lighting design and implementation for the arrivals, pre-function and main event which was also installed above the screen surface, keeping the room clean with uninterrupted site lines.
Outcome
We managed to have everything installed and show ready in one day which included 3 x 48ft semi-trailers worth of production equipment.
Our studio team over at Spyglass put together some pretty epic content for the show which really kept the audience engaged. The room looked stunning as the content was displayed on a custom screen that wrapped around the audience, with 360-degree projection across the four surfaces. We received some amazing feedback, came in on budget and had an ecstatic client!
I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for all your efforts on the campaign close VIP Dinner. You were a breath of fresh air and brought some great ideas to the event which really helped with delivering a spectacular experience to the guests. As you know the Uni is not used to running these larger style events, but with your guidance and expertise you made it easy for us.
Watching the guests faces as the content would change throughout the night made it all worthwhile. The content was more amazing than we ever expected. It really was a great team effort.
